Win 7 Power Users Guide author IEEE interview

2009 was a big year for Mike Halsey after the release of his book, the Windows 7 Power Users Guide and interview requests started coming in. Now the new year is already off with a good start as the latest, and biggest of these is with the IEEE organisation in the January 2010 issue of their magazine Spectrum.
“[The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers] is the world’s largest professional association advancing innovation and technological excellence for the benefit of humanity” they say on their website. In reality there’s much more to it, as the IEEE is the body which ratifies many electrical and electronics standards worldwide. Consequently their impact on modern computing has been enormous.
The article “Google Chrome the Conqueror”, is about Google’s forthcoming ‘Chrome OS’ operating system. Mike was asked for his opinion on the OS, it’s likelihood for success and the state of modern cloud computing. His view…
